Made in memory of a Zaar member whose recipes have graced our table. Each of the recipes I have made are not only winners but requested often and have been added to our family cookbook. This one is no exception - made as posted and wouldn't change a thing. Served with a green salad and some freshly baked crusty rolls - made for a wonderful evening meal.

Fabulous. My DH and I loved it! I never seem to have ricotta in the house when I need it, and this is totally YUM without it. Congrats to the Chef!

Authentic Italian tasting dish! Like another reviewer, I eyeballed how much ziti to add to the sauce. One lb. seemed like too much macaroni--I used slightly less. I also used one lb. bulk Italian sausage and browned like hamburger--Bob Evans makes a convenient package. To my surprise, the beaten eggs were a great idea--thanks, CoolMonday. We'll make this one again!

I cooked and browned the spicy italian sausage in the oven. I used bow tie pasta, because thats all I had in the house.Rather than layer, I mixed the pasta and sauce with the mozzerella and poured it in the pan. Then I poured the beaten eggs and added the parmesean. It was a wonderful meal and such a dreary day. My husband says its a keeper. My son said it needed more sausage and cheeses. Next time, I"ll make it with 6 sausage links and another cup of mozzerella and another 1/2 c parmesean.Either way everyone was pleased with todays meal..Thank U for the recipe..

Ordinary name for an EXTRAordinary dish! Think about renaming it. :o) Great combination of flavors for a rich and yummy, comforting concoction. Thanks!

Loved this recipe! We added a bit of hot sauce but otherwise followed the directions. We made a half batch and that was enough for dinner for the two of us and lunch the next day. I was a bit sceptical about pouring the egg over the top but I think it helps the baked dish stay together so you can serve it in a neat square. This reheats really well too. I just stuck our leftovers back in the oven at about the same temperature for 30 minutes. Perfect!

I went looking for something Italian and found this excellent recipe. The picture made me drool!! I used sweet sausage and only made 12 ounces of the ziti, it came out really gooey. I think the eggs gave it substance. We served a ceaser salad and garlic toast with it. Yum! Thanks Cool Monday!

My DH loved this dish and so did I. I added a 15 oz. can of tomato sauce and omitted the eggs. Otherwise it was made as directed and the sauce was wonderful. Thanks for sharing.

I'm not beleiving i forgot to review this, sorry coolmonday. This was, to put it mildly awesome. Everything went together very easy and turned out fabously, the looks was enough to DIG RIGHT IN when it came out of the oven, next day was just as good , if not better. THanks for sharing this with us. Will definately prepare again. Go Gators & Georgia SOuthern , hehe

This Ziti was awesome! I saw the picture Marlene1964 posted and I had to try this. It was soooo easy and my family really enjoyed it. I think that I would definitely add a little bit of sauce, but overall it was quite saucy. I did reduce the amount of pasta to about 12 oz, and I am glad that we did. It would have been too dry otherwise. Thanks for a great recipe Cool Monday!

This was WONDERFUL! It took a bit longer to cook , about 2 hours and 15 minutes from start to picture snapping ;) , but worth every minute! And that could've been my fault, my sausage links were pretty fat! *tee hee* Anyway , this is a nice change of pace from something being drowned in sauce , I'm loving the tomato chunks ... Mmmmmm... and the cheese ... Mmmmm ... It was easy to do , and we all 3 said THIS IS A KEEPER!! Thanks for posting this recipe CoolMonday!!
