Very different type of a sandwich for me! I enjoyed it very much, and didn't have the pear paste, so I used fresh pears, cinnamon, and nutmeg. I may try it with pear jam or preserves next time. I enjoyed it for lunch today! Thanks for posting! Made of Everyday is a Holiday tag.
Deliciously easy fine dining lunch! Love the combination of flavors. I made with a spreadable brie, fresh pear slices, and a bit of cinnamon. Would be good with canned pears too. Thanks bluemoon downunder for another fabulous recipe.:) Made for PRMR.
Simply Awesome! This is a great sandwich! Since I had no Maggie Beer, I used Herbed Pear Jam for the pear paste and added some chopped pecans to the sandwich as well. Buddha was astounded by the taste! For the bread, we used Buddha's Greek Harmony Bread. This sandwich is similar to a cream cheese and jelly sandwich, but is much more sophisticated with the addition of the baby spinach and pecans. And your right, it does taste great being wrapped up for a few hours as the brie just seems to get more creamy and the sandwich more dreamy! :)
This was an amazing sandwich. Simply delicious. I used fresh portugese bread, to die for French brie, that was so creamy I had difficulty slicing it...so good, anjou pears, ginger, cinnamon, nutmeg and pecans. So...so decadent and wonderful, I can't wait to make this treat again. Thanks so much for sharing.
This was really good. I used mashed pears and added some cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice, and ginger. I have a feeling that the pear paste itself would make the sandwich out of this world. I also like the idea of using the herbed pear jam or something similar like Bird suggested but I hadn't thought of that. I think either of those ideas would take it to the next level.
