I was looking for something to do with ham last night and found this recipe. So I made this and chopped up some ham to put in it to make it a main dish. Very filling very much comfort food and very easy. Oh and since it's the only kind I buy I used fat free half and half in it. It was still creamy tasting.

I felt the sauce came out too thick and the cheese was a little stringy. I also felt it needed a little more flavor, but perhaps it was in the cheese I used although I followed the instructions.

Very clear instructions. I used 2% milk instead of the half & half and it was still delicious. Cut the recipe in half - no problem. I put it over noodles and tonight I'll used Herb Fetticini with it Thanks Mep - it's a keeper. Added commnts- I saw some ready made Garlic purses on sale and so i used the rest of the sauce on them - excellent resujlts. Love this sauce Actually I found some Pasta Garlic purses and used the leftover sauce on them - really delicious Thanks again Mep

I've made this a few times, and it's always a big hit. It works well with just about any type of pasta I have at the time (can't wait to try it over cheese tortellini). Sometimes I'll add a little garlic and/or red pepper flakes. Nice cheesy flavors, and definitely ease to make.

This was really very very cheesy and really good. I didn't use fontina cheese simply because I didn't have any on hand. I threw in a little extra of the other cheese. I might suggest adding a little more cream and may be a little seasoning salt, oregano or black pepper. This didn't reheat well without adding more liquid. Just FYI.
