A man-pleasing picnic sandwich not much more complicated than the title.
Make and share this Picnic Roast Beef and Pepper-Jack Sandwich recipe from Food.com.
- 1 lb roast beef, sliced thinly
- 1⁄2 lb jalapeno jack cheese
- 8 slices thick whole wheat bread
- tomatoes, slices
- pepperoncini pepper
- You know what to do; the sandwich will taste best if you pack everything separately to transport to the picnic site.
Nice combination of flavors - I used mini kaiser rolls and for toppings; lettuce, tomato, red onion, and mayo. DH liked this a lot. I will make mine on a hearty 12-grain wheat next time. Great for a tailgate with the toppings on the side.
Made this for hubby today and he loved it! I used dijon mustard rather than mayo per his preference. Will definitely be making this again, thanks for posting! Please see my rating system as I rate tougher than most.
This was a great sandwich. I followed the recipe except for omitting tomato, and dunked it in ajous. Thanks for a tastey, easy summer sandwich.
