  • Unfold puff pastry and roll out to seal creases.
  • Spread the thousand island dressing over pastry sheet.
  • Layer pastrami, swiss, then saurkraut.
  • Roll up the pastry sheet jellyroll fashion.
  • Brush the edges of the pastry with egg and press the long edge firmly, tucking in the short ends to seal.
  • Brush all over with beaten egg, place on sprayed baking sheet.
  • Bake, uncovered for 40 minutes at 350 degrees.

  2. What a big hit this was! The only thing I would suggest is to squeeze out the sauerkraut well before using it in this recipe, I baked it then sliced the pastry into large pieces, so delicious! thanks Kel!...Kitten:)
     
  3. I love ruben's and this variation did not dissapoint. After I rolled it all up, I cut 1 inch slices, and baked up a bunch of individual ruben pastries. My guests loved them. Thanks for posting.
