Simply fantastic! I used Sharwood's Mango Chutney and sourdough bread. The cheddar cheese was Irish Kerrygold. I'm in Grilled Cheese Heaven! The combo of chutney and cheese is an inspired combo.

Ooey gooey sharp cheddar with sweet mango chutney and crispy toasted bread makes for a terrific sandwich which I much enjoyed. Thank you Dreamer in Ontario for posting and to weekend cooker for the recommendation, made for I Recommend tag game.

I thought this was a wonderful addition to grilled cheese, even though I had to find out the hard way that I'm allergic to mangoes. So no more mangoes for me. Next time, I'm going to try this with a peach chutney. Made for Ramadan tag.

I made the mango chutney to go with this sandwich. I bought Artisans bread and sliced it and put old cheddar from Boars Head and a slice of white cheddar from Boars Head. It was real easy to put in the oven and not have to worry about all the insides coming out of the sides by the traditional way of grilling it. I found it very flavorful. My friend said he didn't really taste the mango though. (I think his tastes buds were on the bonkers that day for lunch) because I really tasted my mango chutney. The combination was really a tasty treat from the ordinary. Thanks for the recipe Dreamer.

Absolutely DELICIOUS !!! I used the store bought mango chutney, and used old cheddar cheese. The mango/cheddar combo is excellent, and made for one great lunch. Made for Zaar Stars.

Very simple to make and truly delicious. I scaled this back for one, for this morning's breakfast. I used slices of crusty ciabatta and a sweet mild-flavoured mango chutney. I didn't butter the bread initially, as I think it gets lost and therefore may as well not be there, but mainly because I like to butter the top of the warm toasted sandwich just before eating it. YUM: a great blend of flavours. Thanks for sharing this recipe, Dreamer!

This makes a great grilled cheese. I used Sharwood's Mango Chutney and extra old white cheddar cheese, on farmer's white bread. What a great flavor combo it was sweet, tart and tangy while the cheese was perfectly melted. Thanks for a recipe that I will use again.

This was really good. I fixed it for lunch for my family and they loved it. I used sharp cheddar and mango chutney. The sweeteness of the mango with the sharpness of the cheddar was the perfect combination. Thanks so much for sharing.

I was very surprised how easy and delicious this was! I used a sweet mango chutney and the 2 year aged Kerrygold. I made 2 sandwiches but DH wasn't hungry at the time. I let his cool down and then froze it. I got up this morning and just put it back into the toaster oven for about 10 minutes at 425. It was a little crispy around the edges, but still very edible. Made for ZWT4. Thanks for the recipe!

Yum, I'd never really thought of adding chutney just with cheese on a sandwich but it works well. I only had some home-made tomato chutney so used that in lieu of mango with some vintage cheddar & this was delicious. The cheese & chutney melt together and it's all gooey & scrummy. Made for ZWT 4.

Absolutely ABSOLUTELY! I used a loaf of whole wheat bread along with store-bought chutney! The sandwiches were very easy to make & they turned out great! Now I'm looking forward to making my own chutney & my own bread, & churning my own butter ~ Hey, wait, no, forget that last bit! Thanks for a great keeper! I had never made a toasted cheese in the oven before and now I don't think I'll make it any other way. I used garlic-cheese sourdough bread and ginger-mango chutney. I was really impressed on how easy this was. Toasted on the outside and creamy on the inside- just what you want from a toasted cheese sandwich!

Yummy I made it both with ham as the other reviewers suggested and without. Sure beats plain old grilled cheese.

Havent tried as I cant eat cheese, but my boyf's family does a similar thing on xmas day, with ham (tho he omits it) and mango cheeks. WEll, ok, he just has the mango, but everyone else has the full deal.

Wonderful! Even those who were "afraid" of the chutney thought that this had a wonderful flavor and are going to make it themselves. We also added ham for a little extra yum!

Yum! I love mango chutney grilled on toast. I actually didn't use the oven but instead toasted one side of my bread under a grill (broiler), buttered the uncooked side and topped with chutney and cheese and put it back under the grill to melt. Thank you for posting.
